Jennie brought up an interesting question about what size pecans should be in a pecan pie. She thinks whole. I think chopped Beth’s way, maybe with a few left whole for show, but certainly not small chunks. Do you have a theory? Please share.

i guess i have never had a chopped pecan pie, so i can’t really say. i think i’d like it that way, though.
I like the whole pecans because it makes for a good bite-sized piece of pie each time you cut around a pecan. Ashley Kennedy said the whole ones make a mess of the pie when you try to cut the slices, but I guess I’ve just always thought pecan pie is supposed to be a little messy.
